 Swisscontact is the business-oriented foundation for international development cooperation. Working in 36 countries with over 1,100 team members, Swisscontact has been fostering economic, social, and environmental development since 1959.
Due to planned growth in our Eastern Europe region (Ukraine), we would like to get in touch with qualified candidates with a strong background in the areas of Local Economic Development, Skills & Labour Market, Entrepreneurship. The position is opened with the 3-year project on improved plumbing education in Ukraine funded by the Government of Switzerland and Geberit. 

Position: 
Skills Development Expert F/M 

Location
Kiev, Ukraine. Frequent travel within the country is required.

Tasks
  1. Prepare intervention strategy for Skills Development
  2. Ensure proper delivery (based on industry standards) of teachers’ capacity building
  3. Responsible for ensuring that the necessary infrastructure for learning methods is in place, operational and accessible
  4. Prepare result chains and defines measurable indicators and measurement plans for Skills Development 
  5. Responsible for the continuous performance assessment of the implementation partners
  6. Develop concept notes for the interventions, including deliverables plan/timeframe
  7. Liaise with the relevant government agencies, other key stakeholders, civil sector actors and private sector partners
  8. Provide Skills Development related inputs to periodic progress report meetings on the achievement of outputs
Requirements
  1. Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant study in a professional education related field. Additional training and certification in project management would be an advantage;
  2. At least 3 years of experience in skills development, labour market or entrepreneurship promotion, preferably 
     
    in technical professions
  3. Relevant experience in developing learning materials and new teaching plans
  4. Good understanding and display of gender equality and social inclusion, conflict-sensitive programme management  
     
    and good governance
  5. Strong innovation and coaching skills and experience in working with different stakeholders (government agencies, civil sector actors and private sector partners)
  6. Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
